| Dan Post Info |
 |
 |
 |
Dan Post sets the highest comfort standard for boots. The world's softest leathers and most exotic skins. Their exclusive comfort system with shock-absorbing heel pad and seven-layer cushioned insole. Genuine leather soles and all-leather linings. Their boots come already tamed, no break-in required. So cushioned, so comfortable, people wish they'd stepped up to Dan Post's standards sooner.
How do I get a proper fit when purchasing boots?
Generally, your boots should be the same size as your shoe size. However, the toe shape and heel height may affect how they feel. When purchasing boots, always stand to determine proper fit. There are 3 key "tests" that can be used to determine a proper fit.
The boot shank and arch of the foot should have matching curves.
If the smaller toes extend beyond the stitching line of the welt, or if the toes cause a bump, the boots are too short.
Examine fit across the instep by taking the leather between your thumb and index finger and rub your thumb across the instep. If the boots are too loose, a large wrinkle will appear. A slight wrinkle means the boots fit properly.
Heel Slippage is normal and does not mean the boots are not fitted properly. After the boots have been worn and the outsole flexed a few times heel slippage should stop resulting in a comfortable wearing boot.
How do I take care of my boots?
Proper care for your boots will greatly extend the life of your boots.
CLEAN
After each wearing, boots should be wiped down with a damp, not wet, cloth. Allow your boots to air dry thoroughly between wearings. Do not set them near heat.
CONDITION
Conditioner helps to maintain the original look and feel of the leather. Conditioning keeps the boots from drying out. Use a conditioner specially formulated for boots. Lanolin based products work best.
POLISH
Periodically apply a matching boot cream polish. The polish will help to cover any scuffs and can be brought to a bright luster. Use edge dressing on the welt to maintain welt color.
PROTECT
Protect your boots even more with silicone water repellant. Use of boot trees will help maintain shape and form.
The Dan Post Comfort System
The Dan Post Cushion Insole gives the best in cushioning materials for long, dry, comfortable wear. First, the leather heel pad cover gives the foot a soft, dry resting spot. The shock absorbing heel insert extends through the dual density insole creating an energy return system. Next, the dual density cushion insole gives added support to the foot from toe to heel. Our best and most comfortable insole system.
DAN POST TEJU LIZARD SKIN BOOTS
Dan Post Lizard skin boots are made from the belly skin of the Teju Lizard (also called alligator lizard). Found in the jungles of Central America, the Teju Lizard provides a versatile and elegant skin for exotic boots. Teju creates beautiful yet durable boots of unsurpassed quality and elegance. The hard tiled leather easily takes on an impressive shine. Remember that Teju Lizard dries out more easily than cowhide and cannot absorb conditioner as readily due to its irregular surface. Condition more often and in thinner coats to prevent cracking.
Comfort To The Very Sole.
Dan Post Cushion Comfort Insole Available On Selected Styles.
DAN POST FULL QUILL OSTRICH SKIN BOOTS
Dan Post full quill ostrich skin boots feature a desirable and unique grain created by the bird's quill bumps. Full quill ostrich refers to the ostrich skin with an entirely quilled surface. Although the ostrich is native to South Africa, this flightless bird is raised domestically and abroad in commercial ranches.

| Durango Info |
 |
 |
 |
Durango has built a reputation for developing quality western footwear for men, women and children since 1966. While producing diverse lines, including Farm & Ranch products, traditional western and work styles and western fashion footwear, Durango focuses on durability, comfort and style in all of its products. Durango has been an industry leader with such innovations as the Comfort CoreŽ Insole Technology and SPRŽ leather, one of the most durable leathers in the footwear industry.
COMFORT CORE
Comfort CoreŽ features specially-designed energy-return cushioned
insoles that actually store energy when the weight of your foot
compresses them, then releases that energy as you lift your foot. An
airflow system has been developed and included in the Comfort Core
InsoleŽ that is used with Georgia Boot's Suspension System Footwear.
This adds dozens of tiny air holes that force air through the insole as
you walk. So your feet stay cooler and drier longer. Cushion insole with
the Comfort CoreŽ airflow system. Georgia Boot's exclusive Comfort
CoreŽ energy-return cushion insole developed in 1991.
Durango's Farm & Ranch
Durango's Farm & Ranch Comfort Core boots with SPR leather can take a bit of pressure off your feet. The Comfort Core Insoles act both as a superior shoch absorber and an energy return system for a broken-in feel.
What is Carbo-Tec?
Carbo-Tec is one of the best soles for the rigors of farm & ranch wear and tear. Special features include anti-slip tread, oil and chemical resistance and non-marking capability. Carbo-Tec soles even act as insulation barriers against the cold.
Why is SPR Leather So Strong and Durable?
SPR leather is tanned by three separate processes for extra stength and resistance. It's been proven in test to be three times stronger, two and half times more abrasive resistant, and more acid and chemical resistant than conventional tanned leather. As a result, SPR leather resists caustic alkali, sulphuric acid, calcium hydroxide, potassium phosphate, caustic potash and barnyard acids.
Safety Toes / Steel Toe
Durango's Safety Toe Farm & Ranch boots are laboratory tested to meet the high safety standards governed by the Occupational Safety and Health Administrasion (OSHA). Every new material or component is thoroughly researched and tested before it is incorporated into Durango boots. This includes steel toes for maximum protection from falling objects, heavy duty steel shanks for extra protection and Carbo-Tec outsoles for superior wear characteristics in abrasion, chemical, heat and slip resistance and flexability. Durango has also added, for strength, their triple-tanned SPR leather and, for comfort, breathable Cambrelle linings.
What Do Those ANSI Numbers Mean?
The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) sets the standards for protective footwear. There are two basic requirements all safety footwear must meet: impact and compression. There are three classifications of each according to test results. 1/75, 1/50 and 1/30 are designations for test results done with a 50 pound weight dropped from a set height. C/75, C/50 and C/30 are designations of tests done compressing the safety toes at 2,500 pounds (for C/75), 1,750 pounds (C/50) and 1,000 pounds (C/30). The toe must have a minimum clearance inside the toe area of the shoe of 16/32" for men's footwear and 15/32" for women's footwear after the tests are completed. Durango, meets all ANSI standards set by OSHA and comply with "ANSI Z41.1 - 1991: American National Standards for Personal Protection Footwear".

Georgia Boot is as durable as the day is long.
For over 60 years Georgia Boot has been a leader in the footwear market and revolutionized the work boot industry in 1992, with the introduction of its Comfort Core Insole Technology.
Georgia Boot has an exceptional line of hunting, fishing and outdoor footwear that consists of technologically advanced boots that incorporate features including Comfort Core Insole Technology, Gore-Tex linings, Thinsulate insulation and SPR leather.
The Farm & Ranch collection of footwear are designed to hold up under the toughest of environments by using specific elements such as: SPR leather, Carbo-Tec construction and Comfort Core Insole Technology.
Georgia Boot safety footwear is laboratory tested to meet the highest safety standards set by OSHA. Every new material or component is thoroughly researched and tested before it's incorporated into the footwear - making Georgia Boot the best choice wherever people work with heavy equipment, machinery and containers.
GORE-TEX
Gore-Tex uses a patented bootie consisting of a membrane which
has tiny pores that keep water molecules out, but allow water vapor
to escape from around the foot. Thus, Gore-Tex boots are
water-proof, but they also breathe, which keeps feet dry and warm.
The Gore-Tex company is very careful in protecting the reputation
of its material. Every Gore-Tex bootie is tested in a high pressure
tank for waterproofness. Also, the company subjects its licensees'
products to extensive testing to ensure the membrane is being used
properly. Gore-Tex products carry the tag "Guaranteed to Keep You
Dry." This warranty is taken so seriously that the company withholds
use of its membrane and its name from any company which fails to
live up to its rigid manufacturing standards.

Our boots that are designated waterproof are manufactured to rigid
specifications to assure that the environment your feet live in is
comfortable and dry. Our waterproof products are available in a range
of waterproof levels. For damp or wet conditions where the foot is
not submerged for periods of time, look for a product that is made
with waterproof leathers and a direct attached sole.
For conditions where the foot may be submerged, only a Gore-Tex
inner-bootie constructed boot will offer full waterproof protection for
longer periods of time.

No one wants their feet to get cold. But for some outdoor
enthusiasts, keeping feet warm is a matter of survival. For them,
there is the Thinsulate TM Ultra Insulation designation. To acquire this certification and to display the special tag, there must be a minimum of 400 grams of Thinsulate TM Insulation throughout the boot. In addition, the boot must be insulated in the toe, vamp,
heel and all the way over the ankle.
Now when you buy a boot carrying the Thinsulate TM Ultra Insulation
tag, you can expect not only the warmest insulation, but the best
construction on the market.
SPR Leather
SPR leather is tanned by three separate processes for extra stength and resistance. It's been proven in test to be three times stronger, two and half times more abrasive resistant, and more acid and chemical resistant than conventional tanned leather. As a result, SPR leather resists caustic alkali, sulphuric acid, calcium hydroxide, potassium phosphate, caustic potash and barnyard acids.
Suspension System
The engineering advances of our SUSPENSION SYSTEM outsole and
midsole design flatten the hazards of walking or standing on uneven
surfaces. Dual density SUSPENSION SYSTEM outsoles contain a core
of softer, lighter polyurethane to add bounce and power to your
stride while the outside is tougher and denser for longwearing stability
and support.
The suspension design permits each lug to operate independently,
stabilizing your footing and smoothing out your stride. Tiny grooves at
the lug base work like air springs to absorb and disperse shock, then
spring back into position.
Steel Toe
Our uniquely designed cap provides added room and maximum
protection. Independent testing has proven that our steel toe
footwear withstands over 5000 lbs. of static pressure - more than
twice the ANSI standard.
Electrical Hazard
Footwear with this symbol is built with nail-free construction using
steel or composition toe caps to help insulate you from the ground
and retard conduction, but is not to be primary protection against
electric shock.
Georgia Boot meets and exceeds ANSI Z41, Section 4 standards.
Refer to the ANSI Z41 Standard for EH Protective Limits.
